Wedding Photography in Bend, OR | Amber + Ray

My oldest and one of my dearest friends was married this past summer and I was SO lucky I was able to fly out to Bend, Oregon to photograph her wedding! Amber and I met back in 3rd grade. We were in the same class and we were on the same cheerleading squad. There are so many memories spending the night together, going on trips together, cheering together and basically just growing up together:)She broke my heart a little when she moved out to Oregon, but after visiting I completely understand why she loves it there so much. I have never been in a place where you are in a forest that opens up to an ocean, but if you drive 2 hours the other direction you are in the desert with tall orange rock formations (Smith Rock is BEAUTIFUL)! There are snow capped mountains all around you, clear turquoise lakes and snow in July! Seriously, it’s a magical place.

Amber and Ray’s wedding couldn’t have been any more beautiful. It was a small and intimate ceremony in a field with purple flowers with the most beautiful mountains as  a backdrop. They had their reception at a park with homemade food, homemade beer, yummy cake and corn hole. It was perfect! <3

Asheville Wedding Photographer | Biltmore Village Inn

Another beautiful Biltmore Village Inn wedding is on the blog this afternoon! I love shooting at the Biltmore Village Inn. The atmosphere is absolutely beautiful and intimate and it seems all of my brides there are so laid back and fun to work with. Mandi and Charlie were no exception! They were both so wonderful to work with. Their ceremony was on a beautiful June afternoon, with only close family there to witness their wedding. It was a small and sweet ceremony.

Congratulations on your marriage Mandi and Charlie!:)

Portrait Photographer in Asheville, N.C. | Justin Headshots

I have done a terrible job of blogging this past year! I am beginning to realize I will never catch up and I need to start fresh. So, here’s to being a better blogger;)

I met Justin at his home to do some headshots for him. What a beautiful piece of property they own! From fields, to woods and barns with graffiti, it was every photographers dream place for a session because it had a mix of everything! Justin was outgoing and up for everything:) It was so much fun working with him.

Here are a few of my favorite shots from his session!

Asheville, N.C. Engagement Photography | Downtown Asheville

Dylan and Shanna were the sweetest and most photogenic couple! Dylan is my husbands cousin so I have known him for quite some time. This was the first time I met Shanna and she couldn’t have been nicer (and check out her perfect waves … I have hair envy!). We started our session in downtown Asheville in a back alley. They were fun and playful and up for anything! After walking around downtown for a while we headed to Dylan’s family’s apple orchard out in Canton. It was such a beautiful and peaceful location! Really, any photographers dream. There weren’t just apples, there were also peach trees, berry bushes and fields of long beautiful grass. We walked down to the bottom on the property and there was a river. Dylan and Shanna were such good sports and rolled their pants up to get in the river for some shots:)

I had the best time photographing this sweet couple and I can’t wait to photograph the wedding in August!!
