Biltmore Village Inn Elopement | Asheville, N.C.

The Biltmore Village Inn is located close to Biltmore Village and such a beautiful location with gorgeous mountain views for an elopement or small wedding! The Inn itself is just as pretty:)

On Tricia and Wally’s wedding day it rained buckets. They were supposed to be married outside with the mountains as a backdrop but the weather had different plans. They were married on the huge wraparound porch and it was just as intimate and beautiful. They had such a lovely ceremony filled with smiles, tears and lots of excitement. I’m so glad I could be there to photograph their wedding!

Catawba Brewing Wedding | Asheville, N.C. Wedding Photographer

Molly and Trenton are married! What a wonderful day, couple and wedding venue! They were married and had their reception at Catawba Brewing Company. When I first met them for their engagement session last winter, they told me they love coffee and beer. There was such a fun and laid back vibe to the day that seemed to fit them perfectly.

I arrived at the Loft hotel in time for some getting ready photos and Molly and Trenton’s first look on the roof deck of the hotel. We then walked around downtown Asheville for some bride and groom photos before grabbing the rest of the wedding party and walking to Catawba Brewing. It was such a neat venue for a wedding! They got married next to barrels of beer and everyone cleared out to the back deck for cocktail hour while they set up for the reception. The evening was spent socializing with family and friends, watching football on the big TVs around the brewery (props to you for being so cool Molly!) and dancing!

It was such a beautiful and perfect day and I am so glad I was able to be a part of it!:)

Downtown Savannah Ballet Session | Cole

This session holds a special place in my heart. This is my little brother. He is an AMAZING dancer! I was lucky enough to get to photograph him in one of the most beautiful and historic cities. Our sister had just moved to Savannah and we were both in town visiting her. Our original plan was to do a sunset session in downtown Savannah, Georgia. We had spent the day at the beach on Tybee Island and were heading back to Savannah when we hit horrible traffic. There was an accident on the bridge connecting the two towns and traffic was at a stand still. We missed sunset so Cole let me drag him out of bed at the crack of dawn to travel into downtown Savannah. I am so glad it worked out this way. There was no traffic and no one around. We got a beautiful sunrise and were able to explore the town a little:)

Check out how awesome my brother is. He is gorgeous, right!?

Maternity Photography in Asheville, N.C. | The Biltmore Estate

This blog post is going to be short and sweet but with a lot of pictures:) Our good friends Matt and Sarabeth had their second baby, Calvin, a few weeks ago. When she was 33 weeks we went to the Biltmore Estate for her maternity session. I’ll let the photos do the rest of the talking. They are such a beautiful family!

Family Photography in Asheville, N.C. | The Waltrip Family

These past couple of months have been a whirlwind for my little family and I have gotten out of the habit of blogging. We decided to put our house on the market a couple of months ago and between raising two rambunctious little boys and getting our house prepared to sell, blogging has taken a backseat. Our house is listed and I am getting back into the swing of things:)

First up is the Waltrip family who I had the pleasure of photographing last April. We met early one morning for a sunrise session. They wanted beautiful mountain views so we hiked up to a field just outside of Asheville with stunning views. The weather had different plans for us. Instead of beautiful mountain views we were blanketed by a ton of heavy fog that rolled in and out the whole session. I actually really love how the fog pictures turned out:) And just look at how cute their little boy Connor is! He had so many different facial expressions and was so much fun to work with!

Thank you Karalee and Lee Bob for letting me capture these special images for you. It was so great spending the morning getting to know you!:)
